Checking In: Washington School House Hotel in Park City
If you’re planning a trip to the mountains in Park City, Utah this winter, consider booking a room at the Washington School House Hotel. One of our favorite spots in Park City, the boutique hotel's stone exterior nods to the building's schoolhouse past (built in 1889 and named for George Washington), but step inside the posh property and you’ll be wowed by the luxe renovation.
The luxe, all-white interior features lacquered antler-and-crystal chandeliers, an art- and antique-filled living room with a large fireplace, and a winding staircases that lead to 12 cozy and chic guest rooms. For post-ski days and chilly nights, there’s a heated pool and a hot tub tucked behind the hotel. The small but luxe lodging space means there’s no on-site restaurant, but fret not: a private chef prepares breakfast and après-ski eats for guests, fresh French press coffee is delivered to your room in the morning, and cocktail hour is a daily ritual.
Washington School House Hotel is located mere steps from Park City’s Historic Main Street, so it’s a prime location for dining, drinking, and shopping at local favorites such as Cafe Terigo, Firewood, Handle, High West, No Name Saloon, Cake Boutique, Flight Boutique, Sien + Co, and more. (Check out our Park City Travel Guide for more local picks.) The hotel is also just blocks from the slopes at Park City Mountain Resort, making it a dreamy destination whether you’re planning a ski vacation, staycation, or romantic weekend getaway.
